...a certain shade of [green] what are _you_ waiting for?

damn. i haven't posted anything in quite some time. so let's see...
training is finally done. i boast mad overtime - 137 hours worked over the last 2 weeks, about half of that overtime. my kid is the greatest kid ever - david - and i'm such a proud mom. i had anticipated a really terrible, draining 2 weeks but it turned out to be a blast and i'm really glad i got to do it.
on the family note - chris is finally off to jmu, notwithstanding the guitar and alarm clock he left behind [which i will be delivering to him sometime very soon]. dad is doing MUCH better it seems, less stressed, and i'm proud of and awed by the way he's been handling the curveballs over the last few weeks. he's a good kid.
turning to slightly more annoying things - i have yet to hear from u of edinburgh on my housing situation yet, which could mean any number of things [including a slow mail system]. otherwise, i'm getting more and more excited by the day as 24 sept gets closer and closer. plus, kat just announced the grand switch of her blog to travel journal in the near future, and that just makes me even more anxious to leave.
ok, so this post is definitely lame. i have kinda grand plans for this website, but at this point i'm really lazy and don't feel like putting coherent thoughts down. in the near future, however, i hope to make this little project something much bigger and more interesting. so stay tuned.
quick update. training new drivers. been training since last monday. tired as fucknuts. will update next week when i can stare at the screen for more than a few minutes without falling asleep. booyah.
so. my grandfather died yesterday, in his sleep, of natural causes. i wasn't exactly close to him, but i was getting to know him and it's sad to see him go so soon. i consider myself extremely lucky to have seen him last weekend.
all other news sorta seems trivial at this point. i'll be back to updating this thing with my mundane musings in a bit.
